Here is a sneak preek (three pages) of my comic book about the first man in space Yuri Gagarin. Here you can see the training process through to the rocket scientists working and preparing to send dogs into space ahead of humans.
This comic book will be for sale at the Vostok 5 exhibition alongside work from 4 other artists at The Outside World Gallery, 44 Redchurch Street, London from the 1st September - 7th September.
There will be a private view on the 1st September from 7pm - so come along for a drink and some space talk!

Heres a little look at my sketchbook - where I’m figuring out what my comic strip will look like. I am making a special edition of Tight Fit for my exhibition in September with the Vostok 5, telling the story of Yuri Gagarin the first man in space.

I thought i’d share this sketch to share the process of how i develop an idea of a character, i tend to draw the motion/action/character over and over again until I’m happy to pop him/her into the picture. Anyway.. i like the composition of this page and the movement in the drawing
